This issue has plagued the African American communities as well as the Law -Enforcement communities for decades, --Racism.

Police Abuse, a verbal phrase that slips off the tongue ever so easily.  Similar to "He reached into his waist band for something, so I feared for my safety and had to shoot". Think about these two phrases that are increasily becoming the norm when an unarmed African American encounters certain white police officers. 

I concluded that there are --Three Types of Police Abuse.  Below I provided illustrations that supports my theory.  Watch the videos and see if you can connect my theory with the title above each video.

After watching the Jason Harrison’s shooting on video, it left me rather perplexed.  I believed the goal for wearing a body cam was to record the actual events as they occurred.  However, the officer with the body cam in deed captured Harrison holding a screw driver in his hands.  

Once the officers recognized that Harrison was a threat, it is extremely puzzling why the officer wearing the body cam, turned away from the threat (Harrison) and only video his partners lower extremities, displaying his partner’s taser.  A police tool that could have easily been utilized against Harrison in this situation. 

I recalled one of the officers eluding to the fact that Harrison charged him with the screwdriver and because of an obstruction (car) behind him he could not backup.  Perhaps, the officer could have used his foot and kicked Harrison in the stomach or leg to stop the attack.  In the past, I utilized kicks to the stomach as well as knees to the groin to stop attacks, these tactics could have easily been deployed in this situation. 

After the shooting, amazingly the officer with the cam refocused the video cam on Harrison after he was shot, further capturing superfluous verbal commands  directed at a man that appears to be taking his last breaths on earth!!!   The officer should have video the most crucial parts, what did Harrison do prior to being shot!!! This crucial part of the video is absent, so what real value does this video hold in obtaining the real truth of what happened.  The officer wearing the body cam presented a perfect example, on how the body cam will be utilized in the future, to given an inaccurate account of events, by simply focussing on irrelevant activities, such as his partners taser. 

These officers should have received prior info from their dispatcher regarding Harrison’s mental state and whether or not he had the propensity for violence.  I’m sure the officers received this info prior to the scene.  There are  alternatives to deadly force, -- Being Physically Restrained, -- Little Baton Use, -- Sprayed with Mace, --Taser Use,  and last --Deadly Force.  With prior knowledge of Harrison’s mental state, one of the officers should have been prepared to utilize one of these measures other than--Deadly Force.

In my opinion, Harrison’s life had been devalued in the officers minds, because there were other options available than deadly force.  I am sure those officers would concur with me if Harrison was a family member.  I honestly feel that these police shootings involving African Americans, are simply illustrations of the under current of discrimination, that is deeply embedded in the--Lazy and --Destructive part of the white culture's consciousness and subconscious minds.  Never wavering, that old ideology that --Blacks are neither citizens nor humans, simply trash that has no value and easily dispose of continues to resonate throughout the African American culture in this nation. 

The probable cause for killing Harrison was established early in the initial contact, screw driver, being black (by the way is a --Capital Offense in it’s self in this nation).  With a little verbal narrative to go along with Harrison’s screw driver, now the process is completed, terminate with extreme prejudice with impunity.
